When @charomiami shakes her fist at you, you snap to it! Thank you for the ask, lovey!
33: Concept of home and family?
Ashoken will spout out the definition of home and family when/if asked this question. Home – “the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.” Or “an institution for people needing professional care or supervision.” She will then look the questioner (probably Duncan) with a serious expression. A silent question that asks do you understand where this is going?
Family can be defined as “a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household” or “ all the descendants of a common ancestor.”
The Institute was their home. Their family. Until she began to question her role in that family. And he his. They left because the family could not be trusted and the home, no matter how comfortable and clean, was a prison.
She wants to trust. She wants to have a permanent place. But for now, those words mean something to flee from, not to run toward.
You never disappoint! And thank you. I hope it didn’t hurt your brain tooooo much */pets* I love it!
